Genevieve Lillian Garofalo, born on March 16, 1936, passed away on July 19, 2022. Gen was an East Rome girl, who graduated from RFA in 1954 and moved to Ventura, California, to join her family. She was a devoted daughter to Frank and Sophie Garofalo.

Gen was a fun-loving friend, talented athlete and accomplished career woman. She was one of the only two civilians to be chosen by the Navy to work as a technician with the Pacific Missile Test Range. Her 34-year career brought her innumerable awards and accolades. Those who worked with Gen loved and admired her. With her friends she enjoyed volleyball, golf, other sport, and travel. But her true love was tennis. When illness came to her, she was lovingly cared for by her best friend Marilyn Juday and a team of assistants. This care lasted a long time. For their devotion the family extends their deepest gratitude.

Gen is survived by her younger brother, Bill, and many nieces and nephews. Her siblings Agnes, Alex, Albert, Ernie, Arthur, Louis and Gerald were there to greet her in Heaven. She will be remembered as kind, funny, self-effacing, smart and 100% sincere. Funeral services have been arranged in California by The Neptune Society.
