Genesis Group to honor select healthcare professionals

WHITESBORO — In advance of its 15th annual Regional Healthcare Recognition, the Genesis Group has announced the members of its Class of 2022 Outstanding Healthcare Professionals. Honorees were selected by the organization following a recent application and nomination process.

The class will be recognized as part of a luncheon at noon on Thursday, Oct. 27, at Hart’s Hill Inn, 135 Clinton St. Honorees include:

  • Dr. Kent Hall, Mohawk Valley Health System;
  • Cathy Callan/Food Nutrition Team, Mohawk Valley Health System;
  • Rebecca Vickers, Mohawk Valley Health System;
  • Megan Metzger, Mohawk Valley Health System;
  • Vanessa Douthit, Mohawk Valley Health System;
  • Patrica and Tony Lupia, volunteers with Mohawk Valley Health System;
  • Danielle Kress, Masonic Care Community;
  • Tami Welch, Masonic Care Community;
  • Dr. Norman Freund, posthumously, Bassett Healthcare Network;
  • Bernard Vennero, Bassett Healthcare Network;
  • Dr. John Restivo, Radiology Associates of New Hartford and medical director of Rome Health;
  • Dr. Jodi Wallace, RN, Rome Health;
  • Danielle Mudge, RN, Rome Health; and
  • Jon Vander Pyl, RN, Rome Health.

The event will also include a panel discussion with area health care leaders in the region, including:

  • Darlene Stromstad, Mohawk Valley Health System;
  • AnnMarie Czyz, Rome Health;
  • Dr. Tommy Ibrahim, Bassett Healthcare; and 
  • Jonathon Schiller, Oneida Health.

The panelists will discuss how their organizations are adapting to conduct business and deliver services.
