The Rome Free Academy Show Choir brought their collection of song and dance pieces to elementary schools on Friday, Jan 13. Their elementary school performances precede the Central New York Show Choir Festival that will showcase 11 schools in its 11th year Friday, Jan. 20 in the Rome Free Academy auditorium, 95 Dart Circle.
In addition to the Rhapsody Show Choir from RFA, the event will bring out student choirs from the Frankfort-Schuyler, Herkimer, Holland Patent, New Hartford, Norwich, Sauquoit, Vernon-Verona-Sherrill, Waterville, Whitesboro and Westmoreland.
RFA Musical Director Jake Meiss is the director/arranger/choreographer for Rhapsody; RFA Musical Club Co-Advisor Kerri Winkler and Kristen Meiss, a speech-language pathologist at Ridge Mills Elementary, are producers.
