Gala celebrates two centuries of local Irish groups
UTICA — The Bicentennial Irish Gala will celebrate two centuries of Irish organizations in the Mohawk Valley at 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5 at the Irish Cultural Center of the Mohawk Valley, 623 Columbia St.
Tickets are $50, sold in advance only, and available at the Five Points Public House at the Irish Cultural Center.
There will be a green carpet at the entrance for photo taking; a cocktail hour in Five Points Pub at 6 p.m.; a semi-formal dinner buffet at 7 p.m. and festivities at 8 p.m. There will be Irish music throughout the event and an after party in the Five Points Pub with Rick Bedrosian playing until 10:30 p.m.
The ICCMV hosts educational and social events throughout the year celebrating Irish culture. They have a pub and a restaurant on the first floor and all are welcome with no membership needed.
