Fugitive on sheriff’s Ten Most Wanted list taken into custody
UTICA — A 41-year-old fugitive on the Oneida County Ten Most Wanted List was taken into custody in Utica on Wednesday, according to the Oneida County Sheriff's Office.
Sheriff's deputies said Quinn T. Seward, of Utica, was contacted via telephone by investigators and he agreed to surrender on open warrants for second-degree assault and fourth-degree possession of a weapon. Authorities said Seward has been wanted since October 2021.
On Wednesday morning, authorities said Seward surrendered himself without incident at the Oneida County Courthouse, where he will answer his charges.
Seward was ranked No. 9 on the 2022 Ten Most Wanted List, though sheriff's officials said the rankings are arbitrarily chosen. Seward is the fifth fugitive on the list to be taken into custody.
