ROME - Fritz’s Polka Band will return to Copper City Brewing Company, 1111 Oneida St., on Saturday, Feb. 19, for the fourth annual Febtoberfest.

The event starts at 11 a.m. Fritz’s Polka Band is scheduled to perform from 7 to 9 p.m.

“My band doesn’t usually play many gigs in the winter,” said Fritz Scherz, bandleader of Fritz’s Polka Band, which is based in Verona. “so we’re really looking forward to playing again at Copper City Brewing Company.”

“This will be the fourth time we’ve played at Copper City Brewing Company’s Febtoberfest event, which is modeled after Oktoberfest,” Scherz said.

The band is in its 43rd year, and it made history in 1999 by becoming the first polka band to play at a Woodstock Festival.
