SHERBURNE — If you have ever wondered about Electric cars, or wanted to ride in one, join Friends of Rogers for the 4th annual Electric Car Show on Saturday, Oct. 1, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Rogers Environmental Education Center in Sherburne.

This show is in conjunction with National Drive Electric Week, where cities all over the United States put on EV shows and encourage the public learn about the cars and bikes form the owners that use them.

Attendees can talk to the owners of EV’s, and even take a test ride at this show. Friends of Rogers encourages masks must be worn on test rides at the comfort of the driver and the riders.

“There is no sales pressure at the show, you can ask questions and find out information from people that own and drive electric vehicles in our area,” Interim Executive Director Heather Tehan said.

“This is a great event and it’s our 4th year of bringing the EV owners of Central New York together at Rogers Center,” Tehan added.

There are many different makes to see at the show such as Tesla, Nissan, Chevy, Toyota, Kia, Ford, Hyundai, BMW, Subaru, Mercedes and Audi.

This Free and Family friendly educational event is made possible by the Otis Thompson Foundation. A 50/50 will be held as well as a scavenger hunt. There is plenty to do at Rogers center after checking out the cars, such as feeding the fish in the trout ponds, looking over the bridge for turtles and frogs and walking the paved and wooded trails.

Attendees can bring a packed lunch or stop in town at one of the many local restaurants and markets for lunch and bring it back to Rogers Center to enjoy the day.

Those who would like to show their Electric Vehicle please go to https://driveelectricweek.org/event?eventid=3056 to register their car or bike.
