Fremont H. “Flea” Waterman, 58, of Rome, passed away on Friday, June 21, 2019 at Colonial Park Nursing and Rehabilitation. Born in Rome on January 8, 1961, he was the son of Fremont and Shirley (Bacon) Waterman.
Fremont worked for Classic Cleaners and Cornell University in Ithaca. He liked to watch NASCAR, Dale Earnhardt Jr. was his favorite driver, and rooted for the Washington Redskins. He also enjoyed fishing, bowling and family gatherings.
He is survived by his mother, Shirley Jaynes of Lee Center; two daughters, Shannon and Chauntel Waterman of Ithaca; two sons, Shane (Jamie) Waterman of Locke and Chad (Amanda) Waterman of Muncie, IN; a sister, Lauri (Kenny) Tennant of Lee Center; two brothers, Tory Waterman of Durhamville and Mark (Mary) Waterman of Freeville; mother of his children, Bonnie Faucett; seven grandchildren, Jeremy, Brandon, Dakota, Ryan, Jade, Conner and Ceirstyn; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Fremont; step-father, Stanley Jaynes; and sister, Terry Drake.
Family and friends are invited to call at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome, on Friday, June 28 from 12-2:00 p.m. A Graveside services will be held after calling hours on Friday at 2:30 p.m. at Lee State Road Cemetery.
