A prostitution sting in Utica has led to charges against four women, according to law enforcement officials.
Police said the sting was conducted on the evening of Sept. 24 near the areas around Rutger and South streets, Oneida Square and the intersections of Oswego and Francis streets and Eagle and Elm streets. Police said four women were taken into custody.
Demetria Patterson, 43; Kimlee Zobrist, 35; Sera Kolet, 41; and Billie Collins-Wells, 44, were all charged with one count each of prostitution, police said. Patterson was additionally picked up on four outstanding Utica City Court bench warrants, and Kolet is additionally charged with two counts of seventh-degree possession of a controlled substance, as well as an outstanding warrant.
All four are scheduled to appear in City Court.
