ALBANY — The 37th annual New York State Mid-Amateur Championship at Shaker Ridge Country Club begins Friday with first round action.
Jim Hirsh, from Kanon Valley, is one of four local players playing in the event. He tees off Friday morning on the 10th tee at 8:45 a.m.
At 12:36 p.m., Luke Hobika, Yahnundasis Golf Club, is the next local player that tees off on the first hole. At 1:12 p.m., Robert Cuthill, Seven Oaks Golf Club, tees off on No. 10 and at 1:21 p.m., Brian Levi, the son of 1990 PGA Tour Player of the Year Wayne Levi, golfing out of the Yahnundasis Golf Club, tees off on the first hole.
After Friday’s action, a cutline will be applied for the top 60 players and ties.
The final 18 holes will be played on Saturday.
