HOLLAND PATENT — The Food Pantry of Foothills Rural Community Ministry will be open on Wednesday, Dec. 2 from 4-6 p.m. and on Saturdays, Dec. 5, 12 and 19 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The food pantry will not be open on Christmas Eve Thursday, Dec. 24. On days the pantry is open, guests will be met at the door for information, then they should wait in their cars until the volunteers deliver the food to them. These rules have been administered by the Food Bank of Central New York. Those who visit the pantry should come no later than 12:45 p.m. so all may be served by 1 p.m.
The Country Corner Thrift Shop will be open for business on the same Saturdays as the food pantry. Shoppers must wear face masks while in the shop. Shoppers are limited to five at a time and may only shop for 45 minutes. No more than two family members should shop at one time. Hand sanitizer is provided to use before visiting the shop and before cashing out. It is requested that shoppers use smaller bills when shopping, as it is difficult to make change for large bills.
The thrift shop is fully stocked with a wide variety of clothes for all ages. There are also seasonal items, small household items, jewelry, etc.
The Food $en$e Program is again being offered. December orders will be taken on Dec. 6, and will be ready for pick up on Dec. 18 or 19. Check out the Food Sense section of the FRCM website as there are new ways of ordering.
