HOLLAND PATENT — The Food Pantry of the Foothills Rural Community Ministry will be open from 4-6 p.m. on Wednesday, June 2, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays, June 5, 12, and 19, and Thursday, June 24.
The food pantry is located in the basement of the Holland Patent Presbyterian Church, but clients should stay in their vehicles. A volunteer will come to the cars to gather information. Volunteers will pack the groceries, while other volunteers will deliver the groceries to the waiting vehicles. To keep the process running smoothly it is helpful to have appointments. These may be made by calling the office at 315-865-5854. Drop-ins are still served. Clients are encouraged to bring reusable grocery bags. Some reusable bags have been donated to the food pantry, but not enough for complete orders.
The Country Corner Thrift Shop will be open on the Saturdays and Thursdays. Shoppers must sign in before entering the shop, and wear masks while shopping. All are welcome to shop as the proceeds benefit the food pantry.
June orders for the Food Sense Buyers Club are due on June 5. The groceries will be ready to be picked up on June 18 from 1-2 p.m., and June 19 from 10-11 a.m.
The fundraising campaign for the new facility fund is on-going. Donations may be sent to FRCM, P.O. Box 156, Holland Patent, N.Y. 13354. Indicate that the donation is for the building fund.
