For the 11th year, non-perishable food items will be collected during Utica’s St. Patrick’s Day parade on Saturday, March 16. The drive benefits the Mother Marianne West Side Kitchen, which is named for Saint Marianne Cope of Utica.
Non-perishable donations can be placed in the wheelbarrows as they pass by. Make sure to check the expiration date to ensure items are still usable. Containers will also be available for those wishing to make monetary contributions. All donations go directly to the Mother Marianne West Side Kitchen.
In the past 10 years, over 10,600 food items and more than $11,140 have been collected and donated to the kitchen.
