Flags of Honor to return to Griffiss Park

ROME — New York State Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund, Inc. will host its third annual Flags of Honor event at Griffiss Business and Technology Park June 11-17.

The event is a way to honor loved ones who have served in Vietnam, other war or in the armed forces, according to organizer of the event.

Flag sponsorship will be $35 per flag, and area residents can honor or remember three people per sponsored flag.

Proceeds from the Flags of Honor event have helped in the developement of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial on Griffiss Park.
