Flag raising Monday at City Hall to raise awareness of brain aneurysms

To help mark Brain Aneurysm Awareness Month the local chapter of the Joe Niekro Foundation Brain Aneurysm Support Group will have a flag raising ceremony on Monday, Sept. 20, at 8:30 a.m. at Rome City Hall. All are welcome and encouraged to wear burgundy.

The flag was donated by the group to the city so there can be an annual flag raising ceremony each September. John Zynakowski will raise the flag, and the local chapter will also have a speaker.
