VILLAGE OF OSCEOLA — “Fiddlin’s Fun” will return to entertain listeners at a free annual concert from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 8 at the North American Fiddlers’ Hall of Fame and Museum, 1121 Comins Road.
“Fiddlin’s Fun” is the Southern Tier area chapter of the New York State Old Tyme Fiddlers. Their concerts are known for the beauty of their harmonic arrangements.
The group’s repertoire draws from the vast range of fiddle music of England, Ireland, Scotland, French and English-speaking Canada, as well as music popular at or near the Pennsylvania border, and music played for contra and square dancing.
For a schedule of the chapter’s monthly jams, visit their website at www.fiddlinsfun.org.
Concert-goers are encouraged to enjoy the exhibits, the new display walls and the digitized historic fiddle performances in the Fiddlers’ Hall of Fame and Museum, and also to enjoy some refreshments from the Fiddlers’ Kitchen.
Parents may supervise their children in the fully equipped playground adjacent to the seating space.
All the facilities are handicapped accessible and enclosable in the event of bad weather. For directions, visit www.nysotfa.com or call 315-599-7009 and leave a message.
The next free Sunday concert at the Fiddlers Hall of Fame in Osceola is Sunday, Sept. 15 featuring Bill Gregg, of Trumansburg.
