CLINTON — The Fair Trade Shop at Stone Presbyterian Church, 8 S. Park Row, is featuring chocolate in April for those looking to fill some Easter baskets.
Dark chocolate eggs from Ghana are among the varieties ready to tuck into Easter baskets. Each package contains approximately 18 eggs.
The shop also features dark, organic, vegan 72-percent chocolate bars that are made with cocoa from Brazil. Sweet and mild, the chocolate is a sophisticated blend of fruity and floral flavors, with hints of gingerbread and toffee.
Also featured for the holiday are spring garden quilled eggs from Vietnam. The set of four wooden eggs is covered with dozens of individually coiled paper details in lively colors and patterns, with a flat bottom for standing upright.
These and many, many more unique handcrafted items from 38 different countries are available at the Fair Trade Shop.
Purchasing fair trade items ensures artisans and small farmers fair wages and healthy working conditions, providing dignity, sustainable development and hope to marginalized people.
Hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. every Thursday and second Saturdays, and also by appointment by calling 315-853-1070. The shop’s 25 percent off sale continues until further notice.
Face masks are required for visitors. Gloves and hand sanitizers are available.
