Experience Utica Zoo after dark during Night Prowl tour
UTICA — The Utica Zoo is offering the first Night Prowl tour of 2023 on Friday, Feb. 17, starting at 5:30 p.m.
“(The) Night Prowl is a great way to experience the zoo in a different way – at night,” the Utica Zoo announcement said. “Small groups will be led on a guided excursion around the zoo, experiencing fun activities to learn more about nocturnal animals and their adaptations. Visitors may even have the chance to meet some of the Utica Zoo’s very own nocturnal animals.”
Two guided tours will be available and each last approximately 45 minutes. Families with younger children are encouraged to participate in the Children’s Zoo tour, while adults and older children may be more interested in the North Trek Trail tour.
The tour costs $14, $10 for children. For Utica Zoo members, the cost is $10 and $8 for children. Tickets must be purchased in advance at www.tinyurl.com/UZNightProwl. A limited number of tickets will be sold for each tour.
The Utica Zoo promotes public appreciation of wildlife through education, conservation, and recreation and is home to over 200 exotic and domestic animals and welcomes more than 100,000 visitors annually, the announcement added.
