Entries sought for fiber exhibits at View

OLD FORGE  — View, the center for arts and culture, is calling for artists to submit their work for several fiber exhibits, including “Quilts Unlimited,” which will be on display from Oct. 1 to Dec. 3.

Each year, View holds the “Quilts Unlimited” exhibition — which is open to all artists working in the fiber based quilting medium. This year’s jurors are Mary Walter (Juror of Selection) and Pat Harrison (Juror of Awards). Through the generous donations of our supporters, View is offering over $2,500 in cash prizes. The submission deadline for “Quilts Unlimited” is Aug. 14.

Other fiber calls for entries include “Small Wonders,” on display from Sept. 17 to Nov. 19, which celebrates small quilts all being 9”x12”. Work must be delivered to View by Sept. 7. Visit ViewArts.org/exhibitions/callsforentry for more information and to submit.

Mary Walter is known for her original quilting style, often incorporating a mix of traditional, ethnic, and contemporary quilting techniques into her quilts.

She has been a member of the National Association of Certified Quilt Judges since 2000. Pat Harrison is a Certified Judge and Webmaster of the National Association of Certified Quilt Judges. She teaches, lectures, and judges nationally in addition to being a pattern designer and award-winning long-arm quilter.
