Enrollment underway for Artletics summer camp at RACC


Enrollment for Rome Art and Community Center’s annual Artletics summer camp is now underway.

Artletics begins on July 1 and runs through Aug. 22. Cost is the same as last year, and the weekly themes have been determined. 

Cost is: $175 per week for members, or $1,400 for all weeks. For non-members, cost is $200 per week or $1,600 for all weeks. For multi-child members it’s $150 per week or $1,200 for all weeks; and for non-members $175 per week or $1,400 all weeks. In-full payments by June 21 to receive a 5 percent discount. If a family resides in Rome and wants to sign up for tuition assistance, they should do so as soon as possible as those spots are limited.

Week Two: Adventure 

Week Three: Disney

Week Four: Harry Potter

Week Five: Nickelodeon

Week Six: Super Hero 

Week Seven: Olympic

Week Eight: Animal Planet

In addition to those week themes, RACC will also hold two, week-long advance art classes for older campers who are enrolled in Artletics and are interested in art. The advanced art program will be taught by two area art teachers. 

This year the camp will be run by returning counselor Hannah Rotenberry. Rotenberry is a 2016 graduate of Rome Free Academy currently attending St. John Fisher College where she is perusing a teaching degree.

The program will also be more structured this year. Each age group (Grades 5 and 6, Grades 7 and 8, Grades 9 and 10 and Grades 11 and 12 will have a main counselor who will be with them all summer. Each of the counselors is perusing teaching degrees.
