OLD FORGE — Enchanted Forest Water Safari, the state’s largest water theme park, has made a donation of $2,750 to the American Cancer Society in honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event.

The funds were raised through donations from park patrons’ locker fees, sales of pink wristbands at the park and company contributions, officials said, adding that the funds will be used to support the American Cancer Society’s programs of breast cancer research, education, advocacy and patient services.

“We are very grateful for the support of Enchanted Forest Water Safari employees and patrons,” said Robert Elinskas, senior community development manager for the American Cancer Society.

“Their generosity will help us find new & better ways of detecting and treating breast cancer, as well as supporting those who are currently battling the disease,” Elinskas said.
