Employee charged in theft from DDS Motor Sports
UTICA — An employee at DDS Motor Sports in Utica is accused of pocketing more than $8,000 from the business, according to the Utica Police Department.
Police said DDS Motor Sports reported in early August that a large sum of money intended for purchasing repair parts had been stolen. An investigation then uncovered more than $8,000 worth of thefts, wherein an employee was taking customer money and then never ordering the requested parts.
Employee Michael Tuttle, 30, of Rome, was charged this week with one count of felony third-degree grand larceny, police said. He is scheduled to appear in Utica City Court.
