The Rome Art and Community Center is observing a pair of special anniversaries this year: the 50th year of RACC itself and the 30th annual Holiday House Celebration, Roman Holiday.
After the deaths of Arthur and Grace Carpenter, the famed owners of the Tudor-style home, the City of Rome bought the 308 W. Bloomfield St., property in 1966 for the purpose of housing the nonprofit organization, Rome Art And Community Center.
An important fundraiser for RACC is the Holiday House Celebration, which this year will be held for two weekends, Nov. 9-12 and 17-19.
Crafts, local artisans and food vendors; plus jewelry, glassware, ornaments and clothing will be featured, all with a decorated holiday theme.
Here’s a schedule of the events (for exact times and offerings, check the website at Romeart.org):
— Champagne gala, Thursday, Nov. 9.
— Shopping weekends: Nov. 10-12 and 17-19.
— Ladies night: Thursday, Nov. 16.
To enjoy some elegant evenings that benefit the art and educational programs of RACC, be sure to make an appearance at the Holiday House. For tickets, call 315-336-1040.
