Oneida County reported eight newly cases of COVID-19 on Thursday, for 81 known active cases.
Four people were hospitalized with COVID-19. In addition to the people with an active case and in isolation, 656 were in precautionary quarantine because of close contact with known or possible cases.
No more deaths were reported. The county has had 123 known deaths related to COVID-19.
Regionally, the Mohawk Valley’s percentage of tests that came back positive stood steady at 0.6% on a rolling seven-day average, and the number of new cases per 100,000 people each day averaged over the past week was slightly higher to 3.30 from 3 a day earlier. Daily hospitalizations per 100,000 was unchanged at 0.21.
Statewide, 0.98% of tests were positive on Wednesday.
