Easter egg hunt Wednesday at Rome City Hall
Free holiday film at Capitol to follow egg hunt
ROME — The City of Rome is celebrating spring and the Easter holiday by hosting its annual Easter egg hunt for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic this afternoon, Wednesday, April 13.
Children can gather at the Griffo Green outside Rome City Hall, 198 N. Washington St., to hunt for colored eggs from 1:30-2 p.m., the city’s Recreation Department has announced.
This year the city has also partnered with Rome Lions Club and the Capitol Theatre, 220 W. Dominick St., to offer a free screening of the movie, Hop, immediately following the egg hunt. Kids can go to the Capitol to enjoy the holiday-themed film, along with a free popcorn and soda, according to officials with the Recreation Department.
