DWI, obscenity among arrests from state troopers

The New York State Police announced the following recent arrests in Madison, Herkimer and Oneida counties:

• A 15-year-old, from Newport, was charged in Newport on Sept. 7 with one count of third-degree obscenity. 

• Kristina M. Lilley, 34, of Canastota, was charged on Sept. 7 in Lenox with petty larceny. 

• A 15-year-old, from Ilion, was charged in Columbia on Sept. 6 with one count of third-degree assault.

• Bruce C. Dewey, 50, of Oneida, was charged in Verona on Sept. 6 with driving while intoxicated and aggravated DWI. 

• Austin D. Potter, 22, of Malone, was charged in Deerfield on Sept. 4 with reckless driving, second-degree contempt and second-degree impersonation. 

• Gary L. Whitmeyer, 63, of Lenox, was charged on Sept. 4 in Lenox with driving while intoxicated, driving with a blood alcohol content of 0.08% or greater and seventh-degree possession of a controlled substance. 

• Stephen L. Gamlen, 53, of Cazenovia, was charged on Sept. 3 in Cazenovia with driving while intoxicated and first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation. 

• William R. McCumbers, 29, of Whitesboro, was charged in Vienna on Sept. 2 with driving while ability impaired by drugs.
