Duane P. Armstrong, 67, of Rome, passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2019, at Betsy Ross Nursing and Rehabilitation Center where he had been a patient for the past month.
He was born on April 18, 1952, in Rome, the son of Eileen Armstrong and George Carey.
Duane was a self-employed carpenter, painter, all-around handy-man.
He was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Church.
Surviving besides his mother, Eileen Millson, of Rome; are four sisters, Deborah (Brian) White, Susan Millson, Pamela Borst, all of Rome, and Kelli (Bryan) Milbach, of Durhamville; seven brothers, Roger Millson, Jr., of Clark Mills, Ricky (Penny) Millson, of Rome, Gary (Brenda) Millson, of Rome, Michael Millson, of Verona, Mark Millson, of Vienna, James (Cathy) Millson, of Verona, and Dennis (Valerie) Carey, of Geneva; the love of his life, Linda Cohen Schofield, and her daughter, Sarah Eiden Roberts, and her granddaughter, Aspen, all of Arvada, CO; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and countless friends. Duane was predeceased by his step-father, Roger Millson, Sr., a sister, Shauna Millson; and four brothers, David Armstrong, George Carey, John Carey, and Bill Carey.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, July 5, 2019, at 2:30 p.m. at the Rathbunville Cemetery.
