CANASTOTA — A quantity of methamphetamine was seized during a drug raid on New Boston Street in Madison County, according to the Madison County Sheriff's Office.

Sheriff's deputies said a lengthy investigation into drug sales in Canastota led to a search warrant being executed on 110 New Boston St. on Aug. 4. Deputies said they seized a quantity of meth, a .30-caliber handgun and an electronic stun gun.

Eric Howe, 25, the resident, is charged with two counts each of third and fourth-degree possession of a weapon, and one count each of fifth and seventh-degree possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of a firearm and second-degree use of drug paraphernalia, authorities said.

Howe was arraigned in court and was sent to the county jail in lieu of $20,000 bond. He is scheduled to reappear in Canastota Village Court.
