Drug take back events scheduled
The Center for Family Life and Recovery has announced several upcoming Take Back Daysfor area residents to safely dispose of unused medications. The agency’s goal, an announcement said, is to collect 30,000 pounds of unused/or expired prescription and over- the-counter medications, including pet medications, by offering drive-through events in April and October this year.
Among the upcoming events in April include:
-(Today) Wednesday, April 27 — 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., Camden Apartments, 20 Masonic Ave., Camden (with partner Oneida County Sheriff’s Office);
-Wednesday, April 27 — Noon to 2 p.m., Jason Gwilt Memorial Apartments, 6734 Route 13, Verona Beach (with partner Oneida County Sheriff’s Office);
-Thursday, April 28 — 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., Schuyler Commons, 1776 Independence Square, Utica (with partner Utica Police Department);
-Thursday, April 28 — Noon to 2 p.m., Parkway Center, 220 Memorial Parkway, Utica (with partner Utica Police Department).
-Saturday, April 30 — 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Outside of Utica Train Station on Railroad Street, Utica (with partners the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office and the Utica Police Department).
