Driver ticketed in Verona crash
VERONA — A 61-year-old woman was ticketed after her SUV crashed into a tractor trailer on Rome-New London Road Wednesday evening, according to the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff’s deputies said Tina Hartle, 61, of Rome, was on Route 49 at about 6:30 p.m. when she made a left turn onto Rome-New London Road at a blinking red light. Hartle’s 2016 Chevy Equinox collided with an eastbound tractor trailer, driven by Richard Denison, 29, of Munnsville, Madison County.
Denison complained of shoulder and arm pain, while Hartle and her passenger were not injured, authorities said.
Hartle was ticketed for failure to yield and is scheduled to appear in Verona Town Court, deputies stated.
