Driver ticketed, hospitalized following crash
ANNSVILLE — A 39-year-old man was hospitalized after his pickup truck crashed into a utility pole off Glenmore Road Tuesday night, according to the Oneida County Sheriff's Office.
Sheriff's deputies said Wayne Beam, of Taberg, was southbound on Glenmore Road at about 8:53 p.m. when he lost control of his 2013 Ford F-150 and it went off the west shoulder. Deputies said the truck struck a utility pole and came to rest on the shoulder of the roadway.
Beam complained of neck, back and hip pain, and he was taken to the St. Elizabeth campus of the Mohawk Valley Healthcare System in Utica, authorities stated. He was also ticketed for the crash and is scheduled to appear in Annsville Town Court.
