Driver faces mischief in incident

LYONSDALE — A Lewis County man is accused of running another vehicle off the road and threatening the driver Monday night, according to law enforcement officials.

Sheriff’s deputies said Brian J. Ripp II, 33, of Lyonsdale, used his own vehicle to run another vehicle off Moose River Road at about 11:40 p.m. Monday, then he threatened the driver with a dangerous instrument.

Deputies said Ripp then back his vehicle into the other vehicle and drove off.

Ripp is charged with one count each of second-degree mischief, third-degree possession of a weapon, both felonies, second-degree menacing and second-degree harassment, authorities stated. He was arraigned in court and was sent to county jail without bail. He is scheduled to reappear in Town Court.
