BOONVILLE — The Dodge-Pratt-Northam Art and Community Center recently hosted a reception for its first open youth art show. Many fine, original pieces of art were presented, and awards for given in four categories for each age group through an anonymous judging process.

In the 6-9 age group, awards were presented to Sabrina Rounds in painting, Olivea Peters in drawing, and Olivia Hoch in multimedia.

Representing the winners in the 10-12-year-old age group were Aubree Babcock in painting, Micah Simanowski in drawing and photography, and Sidonie LeRoy in multimedia.

For the 13-16-year-old age group, awards were given to Khloe Shue in photography, Astro Johnson in painting, and Alexis Egnew for both drawing and multimedia. The DPN congratulates all who entered the youth art show, which drew artists from Oneida, Lewis and Herkimer counties. Officials said they hope the event will continue and grow in future years.
