Downed utility pole snarls traffic on Erie Blvd. West
National Grid workers survey the scene after using a boom truck to secure the top portion of a utility pole while the bottom portion of the pole lays on the ground at the corner of Erie Blvd. West and and South Jay Street, near the Stewart’s Shop on Friday, May 26. The pole was toppled by a Stewart’s truck, forcing westbound traffic on Erie Blvd West to be diverted. The eastbound lanes were still in use. Workers remained on the scene with plans to install a replacement pole.
