Greetings everyone!
My name is Dolph, and I am a 5-year-old male feline, black and white as you can clearly see with just a hint of a moustache to make me look interesting and unique. All of the shelter staff love my manly ‘‘stache” and it certainly makes me look distinguished!
I have been living at the Humane Society Shelter since mid-December when I was surrendered by my owner. They were moving and unfortunately, they could not take me along with them. Those things happen, I suppose. So I have found myself in a new place, with new friends, trying to figure out what my next step is.
I am cared for wonderfully here and all of my needs are met, but it sure would be nice to find a new home that I can call my own. I would do best in a home with adults only and no other pets. I would prefer to be an only ‘furr-child’ because I need a lot of attention. I do tend to ‘act out’ at the shelter when I’m being ignored and the other animals are getting more attention than (I imagine) they are getting.
It does not even matter that I am spoiled with love — I just can’t get enough! (until I tell you otherwise and I will be sure to let you know!) A quiet household is ideal. There are a lot of things in my cat life that keep me very content: chewing on cat grass, climbing cat trees, exploring cat tunnels, playing with my toys and just being my independent self. Oh, I also love to chase those darned ‘hard to catch’ laser lights!
My goal besides finding a new forever home would be to finally catch the dot! Can you imagine how exciting that would be? So Winston, there you have it, a new home and to catch the dot — two very important goals to strive for!
Thank you for your time and consideration and for allowing me a chance to shine in the spotlight.
Much appreciated. Lots of love, Dolph
Dear Dolph:
Handsome? You most certainly are. Distinguished? Oh yes, and then some! Readers what do you think of this dapper fellow with the moustache? All he needs is a tux and maybe a top hat and you can take him anywhere!
We know he is excited about finding a new home. It’s pretty tough on animals when their living conditions suddenly change, due to no fault of their own of course. Make his day, make his life a happy one by calling the shelter or stopping by.
Thank you. Good luck, Dolph. I’m rooting for you. We all are!
Sincerely, Winston

How wonderful that these lucky furr-babies found new homes and it’s especially exciting that little Trenton and Tieton, the bonded pups, were adopted together, as they had requested. Good news!

Appointments
appreciated
Because it’s such a hectic time of year and in keeping with the CDC’s health and safety guidelines, we kindly ask that anyone interested in visiting our shelter, to please make an appointment first.
This goes for dropping off animals, for possible meet and greets for adoption purposes and for making donations. It would make things go so much more smoothly with appointments set in place.
Also, if you happen to stop by without an appointment we may ask for your patience and to please wait in your car until we wait on the person ahead of you.
We apologize for any inconvenience, and thank you for your understanding.

We participate with Cat’s Pride Litter for Good Program — we’ve received 4,000 pounds of cat litter due to nominations from the community.
This is an ongoing promotion. The more nominations, the more litter we receive.
Litter as you can imagine, is a great expense for us, so this would be a wonderful savings for our shelter.
The public is invited to participate as follows:

2. Click on the “Nominate” button to help us receive litter.
3. Enter bonus code: 4GOOD and you will double your shelter nomination.
