LEYDEN — A Lewis County man is facing multiple charges after causing a scene at Cliff’s Market on Route 12 Sunday afternoon, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff’s deputies said Stephen J. Scheve, 45, of Route 12, Port Leyden, was intoxicated and refusing to leave the convenience store on Route 12 at about 3:11 p.m. Sunday. Deputies responded and Scheve would not comply with the officers either, authorities said.

Scheve is charged with second-degree harassment, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest, deputies stated. He was released on appearance tickets to Leyden Town Court.
