Directors sought for Rome Community Theater shows


Rome Community Theater has announced the 2019-2020 season, and is in search of directors. Shows are as follows:

Guys and Dolls: Book by Abe Burrows and Jo Swerling with Music and Lyrics by Frank Loesser. Based on The Idyll of Sarah Brown and characters by Damon Runyon. The show will open in late September.

Miracle on 34th Street: From the novel by Valentine Davies. Based upon the Twentieth Century Fox motion picture “Miracle on 34th Street”. The show is slated for December.

The Game’s Afoot: Comedy/mystery by Ken Ludwig for February.

Amadeus: By Peter Shaffer in April

Helium: The moving and uplifting story by Julian Wiles to close the season in June.

Exact dates for productions have not been determined yet. Qualified directors must present vision, budget, timeline and any other details to the Board on May 7.
