Gifford, age 18, passed away on Nov. 1, 2017, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Chenango County. She was a freshman majoring in homeland security at SUNY Broome at the time.

According to her obituary, Miranda loved to play and watch all sports, but especially shined while playing basketball, softball, and bowling. Although she loved sports, Miranda also cherished time spent with her family and especially loved being a wonderful aunt to her nephews with whom she had a very special bond.

She also enjoyed all of her modern technology and loved music, especially hip hop, and spending time with friends and loved ones. In her death she continued being a giving person as an organ donor.

Contributions may be made to the Miranda Gifford Memorial Fund by sending donations to 507 Wellesley Road, Rome, N.Y. 13440.
