Deputies say woman stabbed man in arm with key


TOWN OF NEW BREMEN — An Ava woman is accused of stabbing a man in the arm with a key in Lewis County, according to law enforcement officials.

Sheriff’s deputies said Jessica L. Cross, 34, of Ava, kicked and bit the man during a domestic dispute in the Town of New Bremen at about 7 a.m. July 31. Deputies said Cross also stabbed him in the arm with a key.

Following an investigation, deputies said Cross was taken into custody today on charges of third-degree assault, endangering the welfare of a child and fourth-degree possession of a weapon, all misdemeanors, authorities said. She was released on appearance tickets to Town Court.
