Deputies probe car break-ins


TOWN OF PARIS — A series of larcenies from vehicles in the Town of Paris were reported and investigated Tuesday morning.

Sheriff’s deputies said there were several reported larcenies from unlocked vehicles sometime in the early morning hours on Tuesday. The thief or thieves hit the areas of Paris Hill Road, Leisure Place, Care Free Lane, Emerald Hill Road, Butler Road, Oneida Street and Orchard Place.

One vehicle was stolen during the spree and authorities said it was later recovered in the City of Utica. Anyone with information on the thefts or who may have security camera footage from the area is asked to call investigators at 315-765-2294. Sheriff Robert M. Maciol reminds all citizens to keep their vehicles locked at all times and to not leave valuables in those vehicles, especially not the vehicle keys.
