TOWN OF PARIS — A Waterville man is accused of stealing $3,000 worth of cement while working as a sub-contractor on a construction job in Paris.
Sheriff’s deputies said Donald Atkinson, 39, of Waterville, was a sub-contractor on a construction site in Paris in October 2018 when he charged over $3,000 worth of cement to the victim’s bank account without authorization.
Deputies said the victim filed a criminal complaint against Atkinson in January of this year, launching the investigation.
Atkinson is charged with one count of third-degree grand larceny, a class D felony, authorities said.
He was arraigned in court and was released on his own recognizance.
He is scheduled to reappear in Town Court.
