TOWN OF SANGERFIELD — A 31-year-old man is accused of choking a woman during a domestic dispute early Tuesday morning, according to law enforcement officials.
Sheriff’s deputies said Daniel J. Vanvalkenburgh, of Sangerfield, was involved in a domestic dispute with his girlfriend and her mother in Sangerfield at about 7:45 a.m. Tuesday. Deputies said Vanvalkenburgh choked one of the women, and the fight occurred in front of his girlfriend’s 6-year-old child.
Vanvalkenburgh is charged with one count each of criminal obstruction of breathing and endangering the welfare of a child, both misdemeanors, as well as two counts of second-
degree harassment, authorities stated.
He is scheduled to appear in court.
