TAKE IT DOWN — Bronze Contracting of Remsen began demolition of the houses at the former Woodhaven complex off Park Drive today. Crew members look on with Mayor Jacqueline M. Izzo, center, this morning as heavy equipment tears down one of the houses on Saturn Drive near the rear entrance to Rome Free Academy. The $1,295,000 contract should be done by the end of this construction season. The work will clear the complex as part of a 100-acre area the city is intent on redeveloping.
