David L. Williams


David L. Williams, 75, of Camden, NY passed away peacefully at his home Sunday, August 25, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 18, 1943 in Camden, NY a son of Harold and Elvira Dale Williams. David graduated from Camden High School Class of 1962. He married the former Kathleen Groff on August 14, 1965 in Camden, NY. David previously worked for Rochester Shoe Tree and retired from Camden Wire Co. as a strander in 1992 due to disability. He was a member of the Camden Volunteer Fire Department since 1970. David enjoyed the outdoors, NASCAR, watching M.A.S.H. with a bowl of ice cream and especially wood working. He could be found happily making bird houses, Adirondack chairs and wishing wells.

David is survived by his wife Kathleen Williams, two daughters, Robin and Mark Barker, all of Camden, NY and Rhonda and Tom Farley, Westdale, NY; two sons, Randy and Michelle Williams and Rodney Williams, all of Camden, NY; 5 grandchildren, Bronson Barker and Ashley Barker, Jessica and Corey Coonrod, Haligh and Cameron Reed, Nicole Farley and Harley Kohl; four great-grandchildren, Koby, Mackenna, Hannah and Hudson; one sister, Sheila Wright, Oneida, NY; two brothers, Raymond and Elaine Williams, Wampsville, Dale and Linda Williams, Camden, NY; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents David was predeceased by one brother, Norman Williams and brother-in-law, Elmer Wright.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, August 30, 2019 from the LaRobardiere Funeral Home, Inc., Camden, NY. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery, Camden, NY. Calling hours will be held Thursday, August 29, 2019 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home, 109 Main Street.
