The Central Valley Academy junior varsity softball team put up eight runs in the bottom of the sixth inning at home for a 15-9 win over visiting Rome Free Academy Tuesday.
RFA was winning 8-6 at the end of the fifth inning.
Makalya Howard led the Black Knights offensively with a double and three RBIs. Diane Morris also scored three times.
The Knights fall to 7-6 with five games remaining in their season.
Nestved doubles twice in Westmo loss
The Westmoreland JV softball team lost 10-3 at Little Falls Tuesday.
Molly Nestved had three hits including two doubles. Arianna Malerba had two hits. Skylar McLaughlin and Abrianna Metz each had a hit as well.
HP tops Rome in boys lax
The Holland Patent boys modified lacrosse team defeated Rome 9-5.
Luke Hammon had a hat trick for Rome. Jackson Marchione scored twice. Collin Baldyga and Jacob Bruno each had an assist.
Carson Ford made nine saves in goal for Rome.
