UTICA — The Civil Service Employees Association, representing more than 300,000 active and retired public and private sector employees, has endorsed Marianne Buttenschon for re-election to the state Assembly.

In her letter confirming the union’s support for Buttenschon, statewide CSEA President Mary E. Sullivan wrote: “We are confident that you will stand with working people to make New York a better state.”

“Though the immediacy of COVID-19 may be fading, we can never forget the price paid by CSEA’s frontline workers,” Buttenschon said. “Local government employees, school district personnel, child care and health care providers all helped to keep our heads above water, often at their own peril. Our children and families don’t come through the pandemic without them.”

“As New York continues to come back from the COVID-19 pandemic, we need elected officials like yourself who will fight to maintain these services while keeping our workforce safe,” CSEA President Sullivan stated.

The 119th Assembly District includes Deerfield, Floyd, Rome, Marcy, Utica and Whitestown.
