CAZENOVIA — The public is invited to see how fresh, local, pure maple syrup is made at the Maple Syrup Celebration 2023 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, March 18 through April 2, at Critz Farms, 3232 Rippleton Road.

A wagon ride takes visitors to the sugarbush to show how they collect the sap and then a visit to the sugar house shares how they turn sap into syrup.

There is no admission charge during the Maple Syrup Celebration.

An all-you-can-eat buffet breakfast is served from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. weekends in the Critz Cafe featuring breakfast item favorites. Breakfast is $11.95 for adults and children over 12, $8.25 for children 8-12 years old and $4.95 for children 3-7 years old.

The Critz Farms Brewing & Cider Co. Tasting Room will be open too to taste their delicious ciders and farm brewed beers. Pure maple syrup is used in several of their cider recipes and they will also be offering a Maple Porter. The tasting room is open until 6 p.m.
