Cree/Wolfspeed to hold virtual hiring town hall


MARCY — Cree/Wolfspeed will host a virtual hiring town hall to give the public and job seekers an opportunity to meet the team and to learn more about the brand new fab, what they manufacture and employment opportunities, on Monday, March 15, at 5 p.m.

The company describes its mission as “leading the transformation from silicon to silicon carbide and GaN (an efficient power conversion semiconductor) as we shape the future of semiconductor markets: the transition to electric vehicles, the move to faster 5G networks, the evolution of renewable energy and energy storage, and the advancement of industrial applications.”

“This online forum is a ground floor opportunity to learn about the company’s career opportunities in building amazing technology products in the Mohawk Valley,” the Cree announcement said, adding that current openings include program managers, process engineers, production supervisors, manufacturing technicians, equipment maintenance technicians, facilities managers, and many others.
