Crash sends three to hospital


WESTMORELAND — Three people were hospitalized after a two-vehicle collision near the intersection of routes 5 and 233 Saturday afternoon.

Sheriff’s deputies said Chrystal Fox-McCormick, 37, of Oriskany Falls, was pulling out of Cliff’s Market at about 12:55 p.m. when her 2016 Jeep cut off an oncoming 2012 Kia, driven by Timothy Drake, 44, of Oneida. Deputies said the collision pushed the Kia off the side of the road.

Both drivers, as well as a passenger in Drake’s vehicle, were taken to a local hospitals for minor injuries, authorities said. Fox-McCormick was ticketed for failure to yield, deputies stated. She is scheduled to appear in Town Court.
