ROME — Jervis Public Library, 613 N. Washington St., has announced the following events for next week:

• All week: Holiday cards for nursing home residents; December Reading Calendars, children’s event — Pick up a children’s December Reading Calendar in the children’s room or download and print one from the children’s library homepage and color a portion of the calendar for each day you read. The calendar includes prompts for suggested reading, but any reading counts toward winning.
• Monday, Dec. 12, Adult and children’s Craft Kits available; 10 a.m., Tai Chi class; 5:30 p.m., Drop-in Digital Literacy Assistance with Literacy CNY volunteer;
• Tuesday, Dec. 13, 3 p.m., Teen Craft Tuesday in the Teen section; 4 p.m., Drop-in Homework Help Hour;
• Wednesday, Dec. 14, 10:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., Story Time with Ms. Emily; 6 p.m., Craft Kit Smorgasbord, adult program — a second chance to make a craft kit you missed, registration is required;
• Thursday, Dec. 15, 5 p.m., DIY Gift Making children’s event — Art Magnets; 6 p.m., RCSD Equity Task Force Dinner and Community Conversation;
• Friday, Dec. 16, 3 p.m., Free Play Friday video games, for teens.

The library is open 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday to Thursday; 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Friday; and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
